Soviet time fairy-tales |
|
For the most of us
the fairy-tales are connected with memories from the childhood.
I also liked to watch them and it's hard to find one which I
don't know. The movies about wars, revolutions, collective farms
and plants overflowed Soviet TV. Any kind of fantastic story
gave much more pleasure for a kid's mind tired from endless
propaganda. The historic of movie never would put together such
different movies as these three on this page. |

Family business |

There is a strange
statistic in Russian actors' life. It's hard to find another
country, where children of famous actors and actresses become
also very popular movie stars. Here you can see just a small
part from a very long list of names. For example, to tell about
Bondarchuk family it would be necessary to say about six
persons. I've put at this page just the first names, which came
on my mind. It's really interesting to see the similar faces,
compare old and young generations. |

of the Downfall has been greeted to numerous
cheerful appraisals, as well as no less numerous
condemnations, which, most likely, will continue
as long as the film will be distributed. |

Seventeen
moments of spring |

Meanwhile,
to most of the Soviet people the name of
Heinrich Müller did not become known until
1973, when the state television aired a
12-episode serial titled Seventeen Moments of
Spring, directed by a former KGB officer, Tamara
Lioznova. The success of the serial was preceded
by similar success of the original novel (which
became the basis for its script), written by
Yulian Semenov, also a former intelligence and
KGB officer... |
