Nonna Mordyukova was born (25.11.1925) in a village of Donezk region (now Ukraine). Her real name is Noyabrina by the name of the month, when she was born (November). She came to study to Moscow and graduated from Institute in 1950. Being a student Nonna played in a patriotic movie about young fighters against fascism, all of them were killed. This role has brought her (and others actors) the State Prize. Mostly she got roles of simple village women. Every her work just added brightness to this colorful actress. One of the last movies with Mordiukova is "Mamma", where her character had five sons. The family band tried to make a plane to fly abroad and destroyed their own
lives. Strong willed woman is her usual image.
 Volunteers

Director: Y. Egorov. Starring: Ì. Ulyanov, P. Scherbakov, L. Bykov, E. Bistritskaya, L. Krilova,  N. Mordiukova, Ì. Drozdovskaya et al. Based on E. Dolmatovsky’s poetic novel. A romantic-and-heroic film epopee, the action of which takes place in 30-s and 50-s. The fortunes of the film heroes who are among the first underground constructors develop in a different way. Their youth fell on the period of the Stalin repressions, Spanish and Patriotic Wars. Not all of them have survived till the days of peace. Nevertheless there was not only bitterness of losses in the life of this generation but also happiness of selfless devotion to their Motherland, true friendship and great love.

A Diamond Arm

Director: L. Gaidai. Starring: Y. Nikulin, A. Mironov, A. Papanov, N. Grebeshkova, N. Mordiukova, S. Svetlichnaya et al.

The exocentric comedy about a modest Russian worker who starts a heroic combat against the gang of smugglers. The given film remains one of the most favorite films among the public for more than a quarter of the century. An enchanting cascade of tricks, jokes and witty remarks, musical items performed by the brilliant comedy actors invariably “infect” any audience with laughter.
