Elena
Yakovleva was
born in Novograd in Ukraine (05.03.1961). She came
to Moscow, where studied in the Cinema Institute
till 1984. Since the same year Yakovleva is the
actress of the "Sovremennik" theatre,
with a short break (3 years she worked in another
theatre). Her first role in movie was Lera from
"Two under an umbrella". Her star hour
came after "Intergirl", where her
character was a prostitute. Yakovleva works a lot:
theatre, movie, TV serial ("Kamenskaya"
about a gifted detective woman), she has a TV
program "What does a woman want?"
This actress is able to change her image from
vulgar street girl till aristocratic lady as she
played in "Petersburg Mysteries" (TV
serial).
